Support S.1454 on PopVox!

S.1454 is the Comprehensive Immunosuppressive Drug Coverage for Kidney Transplant Patients Act of 2011, and you can send a letter to your congressperson very easily here at PopVox. You can also put your comments on their page to show your support. Isn't that great?

Once the bill has been introduced in the House, you can then support it there, as well.

The site is pretty cool because it shows all the bills in Congress and lets you support them and send letters to your congresspeople to show your support. How awesome is that?

Does anyone else know of a bill you'd like the Artful Stew readers to support? I went ahead and supported the American Jobs Act today, too!

The Year in Politics...

... Is not a post I'm going to write. It would be too depressing, seeing as despite the landmark health care legislation that was passed, so many things went terribly, horribly wrong.

However, here are some recent bright spots in the last few weeks of this serious rollercoaster of a year in politics:

- The Bill Ensuring Health Care for 9/11 Responders (thanks, in part, to Jon Stewart)

- Extending Unemployment Benefits for another 19 Months (though, of course, at the truly horrific price of extending tax cuts for the wealthy, but we won't talk about that tonight!)

Let's hope that Obama and the Democrats can keep this momentum going. It's going to be rough going with the Republicans trying to derail the entire Constitution next year, but if Obama uses this momentum to strengthen his backbone and really start to fight back, I think we'll be ok.

Poll Closed! Puppies Once a Week Forever!

At least until you guys tell me to post otherwise. But yes, that's the plan. In an overwhelming vote of support, I can see now that you all want to see puppies once a week, and that's exactly what I'm going to give you!

Hooray for puppies and posting and polls and the letter P!

Puppy Poll: Just One Day Left!

Only one more day to vote on often you'd like to see puppies on this blog!

GOTV!

Poll! Just a Few Days Left to Vote!

Don't forget to vote on how often you want to see real-live puppy photos on the blog! So far "Weekly" has taken a strong lead, but at least one of you out there wants to see a new puppy every day!

But what about the rest of you? Are there any of you who never want to see anymore puppies? Or some that want all puppies all the time? Or do you support weekly or daily and want to give it a push in the right direction?

Whatever you want me to do, speak your mind now! I'm listening.

At least in terms of the content on this website. How many puppy photos do you want? I'm listening. You tell me, I'll make it happen.

Go, team!

POLL CLOSED! SQUEEZE-WEASEL DECLARED WINNER!

Thank you, readers. From beginning to end, you all have shown your love of the lemon-flavored squeeze-weasel, and I cannot say I am surprised. It's a hilarious nonsensical.

Also, great work, team, in shattering our previous record of 11 votes with a total of 14!

We're winning the fight! Virtual hugs all around!

The Heat is On!

And by "heat" I mean "job search" and by "on" I mean "active." But "The job search is active" did not sound nearly as catchy. Maybe "Job Search: Activated" in a robot-voice would have done better. Yes, definitely better.

Also, after stealing this idea from a friend, you're probably all going to get a wonderfully annoying Facebook invite to my blog's group in the near future. Because, yes, however many months after creating this blog, I just now realized that's a great way to get people to actually read it.

This next poll is getting more than 11 votes if I have to kill someone and use his dead fingers to check the box!

09/09/09 NEW POLL!

To celebrate the glorious occasion of having the same number along all the dates when putting dates this way (Wednesday, September, 9, 2009 makes it seem much less monumental), I've declared it New Poll Day!

Please enjoy my poll of nonsensical wordplay, just a sniff of what's to come at my Sketch 301 graduation show this weekend at the UCB. 5:30 PM for anyone who'd like to come!

New Poll! Retro-SAT Version!

Alright, so apparently you aren't allowed to fake-curse on Blogspot, as my poll that included a hilarious "bleeped out" cursing Glenn Beck character "was deleted." Eesh. Therefore, I have just turned it into a retro (my era) SAT version.

Will you get a 1600?

Spoiler alert! There are no wrong answers. I really just wanted to use the word "Yowl."
