Kinderhook Farm

The fiance and I spent a lovely weekend at Kinderhook Farm. It's about two and a half hours away from New York, and you can rent out their retro-fitted barn for the weekend. During your stay, you can help out with chores or just wander around the grounds. We did both (mainly wander and relax, though). It was an absolutely wonderful weekend getaway that I highly recommend to anyone searching for the perfect way to leave the city without having to go too far.

The nearby towns of Ghent, Chatham, and Philmont were small, friendly, and their restaurants sourced food from the nearby farms.

Overall, a relaxing, educational, and enjoyable weekend!
