Don't know why, but I'm a pretty big fan of number six of HuffPo's list of funniest someecards of the week.

Like Isaac Asimov and 'Back to the Future' Before Them, 'The Simpsons' Predicts the Future
For example, in 2005, they foresaw a Broncos-Seattle Super Bowl match-up! They've got Broncos up 19 to 14, but we'll see on Sunday. And just for funskies, Buzzfeed has 21 other times The Simpsons got the future right on the face-flute.
Fantastic Super Bowl Ad
Although it won't be playing during the Super Bowl itself, this ad from the National Congress of American Indians (NCAI) is super relevant to "the big game"
I figured out about halfway through the ad why they were only using one word at a time. It's a really smart, moving way to prove how destructive and reductive a term like "redskin" can be, in general usage and especially for the name of a football team.
I'm not sure even Budweiser's "horse and dog are friends" ad can beat that.

Puppy Bowl VIII: Starting Line-Up
Get pumped, Readers. It's that time of year when we all gather together to watch one great day of programming, one glorious day of million-dollar commercials, gluttonous "artichoke" dip (the main ingredient is mayo, and we all know it), and our favorite competitors fighting for the ultimate title:
Winner of the Puppy Bowl.
Animal Planet released their starting line-up this year and they are adorable. You won't want to miss it (although I will, since I do not have cable. Boo!).
A few of my favorites:
York, because those ears be floppin'
Portia, corgi mix = duh! (despite the less-than-awesome name)
Salem, just 'cause he's a cutie (and I'm a "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" fan - yes, I went there)
Eureka, but just because she loves watching "Bones." (Nice work, Animal Planet writer!)
Leroy, but only because he's the baddest dog in the whole darn town (and those ears!).
