It looks like this new drug, Belatacept, could be an effective replacement for cyclosporine!
Of course, I don't like the part in the article that reads, "only time will tell" if this new drug is effective long term, but I do like the part about it having less side effects and less toxicity.
I'll definitely be talking to my doctors about how much more research needs to go into this drug before I can even think about switching (presumably another 5 years is my guess).
