Acceptable:

Friend 1: Wow, you are so much shorter than me!
Friend 2: Wow, you are so much more of a douche-face than me!
Pleasant laughs and playful punches among all.

Not Acceptable:

Friend 3*: Wow, you are so much shorter than me!
Friend 4: Wow, you are so much more of a douche-face than me!
Pleasant laugh by 4, blank stare by 3.

*Friend 3 has a social disorder where s/he cannot understand social cues, like playful sarcasm.

Not cool, Friend 4, not cool.
